Overall the small dry blade performed similarly to my larger industrial wet saw (but on a smaller scale). I did use a shop vac to suck up the dust that was being created as I cut. I absolutely recommend this blade for small jobs. I was debating if I needed to buy a small wet saw to make about a 300 foot cut in concrete, 1 inch deep. Nope, this segmented saw balde cut without problems and still is functioning well.
I found it to be all I'd been looking for. This blade worked well on the granite I was trying to cut.
You also don't have to worry about cracking or breaking apart. In materials such as concrete, brick, and flagstone, however, the continuous rim version is more durable and lasts longer.
In the future, I would probably only use the segmented blade on very hard or brittle materials (such as tile, slate) and otherwise stick with the continuous rim. The trade-off is that the continuous rim blades cut more material (more dust).
Don't waste your time with abrasive wheels. The black ones might be good for a one-time small project, though.
I have not had problems with warping on the continuous rim ones either. These cut much faster and last so much longer.
The DeWalt 100x blades are also more durable than the "basic" black diamond blades that DeWalt sells.
